With the end of Q1 looming, Hall Browns would like to remind you of some important upcoming dates relating to the lodgement of income tax returns. These relate to the deadlines for 2021/22 returns.
31 March 2023
This deadline applies to Companies and Superannuation Funds with a total income in the 2020/21 year of more than $2 million (unless required earlier).
It also applies to individuals whose most recent return resulted in a tax liability of $20,000 or greater.
15 May 2023
All other Companies and Superannuation Funds must lodge income tax returns by this date in mid- May.
5 June 2023
Finally all other individuals and trusts must meet a 5 June deadline.
Please note that the closing date has already passed for large and medium Companies and Superannuation Fund taxpayers whose 2021 tax return was non-taxable.
If you are yet to make a lodgement for any of the categories above, please ensure that you provide Hall Browns with the relevant information as soon as possible, to ensure your income tax return is prepared within the necessary timeframe.
