Hall Browns Accountants are proud of the Lady Musgrave Trust and their recent opening of Jinndii Waijung.
Built by The Lady Musgrave Trust, this housing complex will provide close to 12,000 safe nights yearly across their portfolio of properties, for young women and their children doing it tough. This marks the start of something special.
It’s taken years of planning, partnerships, and persistence. The result is a tangible space where families can feel safe, supported, and ready to start the next chapter.
The Lady Musgrave Trust have been providing life-saving support to women experiencing or at risk of homelessness, since 1885. Victoria Parker, CEO of the Lady Musgrave Trust shared:
“We have all created something that is both tangible and profound. Each and every one of you have your fingerprints all over this outcome – I was the lucky one cutting the ribbon, but all of your contributions were essential in pulling this off.”
What makes Jinndii Waijung so unique isn’t just the structure itself – it’s how it was shaped.
Women with lived experience were involved in its design, helping create a place that feels considered and supportive, instead of clinical or cold. It’s thoughtful. It’s purposeful. And most importantly, it’s already made a difference.
Backed by the Queensland Government through the Housing Investment Fund, the project is proof that good things can happen when the right people come together with a shared goal.
We hope this model becomes a catalyst for more projects like it around the state, and look forward to being a part of similar initiatives in the future.
Huge credit goes to the many hands behind the scenes who made this happen. We believe local businesses have an important role to play in backing long term, community focussed change. Hall Browns is grateful to have played a small part, and we’re excited to see how Jinndii Waijung continues to support Queensland families in the years ahead.
